  1. Appreciate your body now. One day it won’t be able to support you as well as it supports you now.
  2. Enjoy the moment. The past is gone, The future is not happening yet. All we have is the moment. And there is a lot to be grateful for this very moment. Savour it.
  3. It is never too late to start something new, a new hobby, a new form of exercise, spend time with new people, just start. Sheila started sea swimming at the age of 78.
  4. We all have our worries and vulnerabilities. At all ages and stages in life. Share them, talk about them.
  5. We are not alone. In fact, we need each other. Strangers can convey the most important lessons in life.
  6. In the sea, we are all the same. Part of the bigger picture and vulnerable, yet afloat and light at the same time.
  7. Every now and again it’s good to blow our own minds by trying something different and new. You might enjoy it.
  8. A small amount of anxiety and nerves can be a good thing.
  9. Life is too short.
  10. One day you will need a helping hand.
