Let’s talk about the weather, shall we?

You asked about the weather – about what would happen if it was raining badly and whether activities would still go ahead!

Yes, the weather is a big question mark – especially living in Scotland! Have you ever watched the rain from inside your window and then gone out, and it wasn’t so bad after all?

I am not saying this is always the case, but being out in the elements, properly wrapped up, can be magical.

The rain can add beauty to landscapes, and like in life generally, it can’t always be sunny and nice.

Looking at it from a different angle, rain and high winds can help us understand nature better: I love remembering sitting underneath a strong tree in high winds, leaning on its trunk, and being moved deep down, rocked, cradled and it felt like we were communicating, seriously!

My favourite moments are sea swimming in the sea – rain drops make such pretty shapes hitting the sea. I don’t know whether it’s the difference in temperature, or fresh water hitting salt water, but it’s mesmerizing and beautiful!

Anyway – WanderWomen trips have happened in high winds and rain before, and no one enjoyed it less because of the weather.

Clearly, Sunshine is always a bonus, and WanderWomen reserve the right to cancel an event if the forecast is really terrible.

In those cases, participants will get a credit for future events.

Trust me though, most weathers can be embraced, with the right clothing!

See you on a WanderWomen experience soon.
